For anyone with a heart for children and/or literacy, you have to participate in this:
Hope Hill Elementary in Atlanta, GA is having a book fair for their 2nd graders. The goal is to provide each child with THREE books to keep - one fiction, nonfiction, and activity book.
Here's some perspective on these kids:
...
>Over 90% of Hope Hill's students receive free lunch.
>Hope Hill's students include the children living in the Bedford Pines neighborhood - the largest concentration of poverty in the Southeastern U.S. where the median annual income is less than $3000.
Yes, you read that right. $3000. Per year.
>As of last November, more than 10% of Hope Hill's families were homeless.
These kids won't have a single book unless we get it for them.
But don't buy just one, buy THREE- one fiction, one nonfiction, and one activity book.
You don't have to dig deep for this either, people. Almost every book on the wish list is $9.99 or less and shipping is FREE.

The book fair ends on April 29th.
As always, I'm available to help. Just tag me, call me, message me, etc.
